Das Rhythmische Ornament was active from 1996 till 2002.
It was Henrik Hempel on Drums and Marcus Obst did the Soundwork.
The aim was improvisation and a passion on sound and flowing.

Our musical output was mostly processed session material, recorded on a 4 Track Tape Maschine and enhanced with homerecorded Tracks.

But there was also a pure Mono-Mic Tape Release (DAS RHYTMISCHE ORNAMENT - vakuroom II - C60), which shows the basic work of Das Rhythmische Ornament.

Formed 1996 with drums from the dump and a selfmade bassguitar and much enthusiasm to play music like our industrial and kraut rock heroes.

We improvised a lot and explore our sound. Marcus recorded the Stuff from the rehearsal onto 4 Track recorder and add some more sounds to the existing Tracks.

Most Tracks are very repetetiv and floating, because we've only recorded our jams/sessions.

It was everytime very good to play together. We experimenting a lot with recording and effects.

DAS RHYTHMISCHE ORNAMENT - live UNTERART 1998

This tape was recorded in 1998 and where made on a reel to reel stereo tapemaschine with 2 mono mic.
Location was an old alaun-pit. Someone has opened an exhibition and we (Das Rhythmische Ornament) played with some friends. We improvised the whole session. it was very cool.
for myself it was a great experience in this time, I was very interested in krautrock and in this session we played a kind of krautrock mixed with noise. :-)
